Black Heart Halloween Party at Floridita

Floridita live performance venue, restaurant and cocktail bar in Soho is bringing you a taste of the underworld this Halloween (31st October 2012) with music, dancing and a ghoulish menu.

Afro Latino Funk Orchestra Kalakuta Millionaires will perform a Halloween show with support from Pocket Caravan showcasing the fascinating rhythms and fiery dances of the world.  Kalakuta Millionaires set up in 2008, inspired by a shared passion of musical giants and hidden gems such as The Lijadu SistersBetty DavisOscar Sulley, Orlando Cachaito Lopez, Fela Kuti and James Brown. Expect a heavy mix of Fela Kuti-inspired brass lines, Latin percussion section, Afro-psych organ and JB-style funk riffs.

Head Chef, Richard Sawyer, has created a Black Menu for the evening, with three courses of dark dishes for guests to enjoy.

For Starters, guests have a choice of Black Bean Soup with Devilled Autumn Squash Toasts & Palm Oil, or a Bloody Mary Tomato Risotto with Crisp Black Aubergine Straw.

Followed by Chargrilled 8oz Rump Pichana Steak with Scotch Bonnet and Roasted Garlic Butter,  Blackened Sea Bream Fillet with Wilted Greens, and Salt & Pepper Squid Ink Noodles or Cracked Black Pepper Gnocchi with Grilled Halloumi Cheese and Spiced & Sliced Tomato Relish.

The Black Menu is rounded off choice of Caramelised Pumpkin and Cinnamon Pie with Sweet Vanilla Cream or Warm Dark Chocolate Fondant, and Black Cherry Ice Cream.
