Love To Love To Love You – New Play by Florence Keith-Roach at Library, Covent Garden

Straight off the back of performing the lead in Tallulah Brown’s latest play There’s a monster in the lake (“a surreal, fairy tale production” – The Telegraph), actress Florence Keith-Roach (“rising star” Tatler) has teamed up with LIBRARY, a new  private members’ club for the eclectic literary and design communities. This will open in the heart of London’s theatreland this summer and to celebrate Keith- Roach is debuting her new play, Love to Love To Love To Love You, a comedy about sex and disco.

While simultaneously developing her sitcom, Frenching the Bully, co-written with Freddy Syborn (Evening Standard’s 100 most influential people under 30, Bad Education’s co writer with Jack Whitehall), Keith-Roach adapted the 19th Century Arthur Schnitzler  play, La Ronde, to suit a contemporary, cosmopolitan setting.

A play that draws on excess of every kind, Love to Love To Love You turns the original on its head by appointing its women as the sexual predators and the men as their prey. Set within 24 hours, the audience will witness six characters having successive sexual encounters. They will be privy to moments of extreme intimacy, and extreme abandon; a veritable whirlwind of random sexual trysts, which all become exercises in deception and play-acting. Keith-Roach explores the inextricable link between sex and human existence through the eyes of the modern woman.

A family affair, with Keith-Roach’s sister, artist and set designer Clementine Keith-Roach (who has made her name creating sets for BulgariMulberry and Louis Vutton) unleashing her unique vision onto the basement floors of this stunning town house on St Martin’s Lane. Costumes are being hand tailored by another sibling duo, the Ashley sisters.

For four nights only, these sisters are inviting audiences to enter their wild world of lilac infused 1970s disco.

The presentation will culminate on Saturday 5th July 2014, following the last curtain, with a Studio 54 themed party; where guests will be welcomed to cocktails at the pop-up outdoor bar to dance as the sisters and their friends DJ next to the grey domes of London’s Opera house.

Performances daily @ 7pm, 8.45pm and 2.30 pm on Sat.
