Relaunch: Borderline Soho

A long-standing centre point in Soho, Borderline will be relaunching in March 2017, with a sleek design and live music and nightlife programming.

New owners DHP Family are the people behind Hackney’s Oslo, Nottingham’s Rock City and The Garage in Islington.

Since launching in the late 80s, the likes of R.E.M, Rage Against The Machine, PJ Harvey, Rolling Stones, Oasis and Eric Clapton have all graced the Borderline’s stage.

Design partners Zopsigog have a created a flowing space for the 300 capacity venue with a new cocktail lounge area in striking brushed brass fittings and surfaces, muted by rich burgundy and teal textures on the walls and soft furnishings.

Elsewhere, blackened steel, charcoal undertones and gold finishes are accompanied by little nods to the Borderline’s Mexican heritage.

As well as live music, the venue will host a variety of club nights, including the ever-popular ‘Tilted’ which continues the venue’s history with indie and alternative acts, playing the best playlist of guitar-orientated music each Saturday.
