Sipsmith ‘Gin Palace’ At The Langham, London

The Langham, London is teaming up with artisan distillery Sipsmith for the launch of the Sipsmith Gin Palace, opening its doors from 13th September 2012. Live jazz and opulent surroundings will transport guests back to the glamour of the mid 1800s when Gin Palaces were at their most prolific in London and The Langham, London opened its doors for the first time.

Palm Court, traditionally associated with afternoon tea, will be transformed on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm until midnight. The Gin Palace will offer inspired gin-infusions and cocktails designed by Sipsmith Master Distiller, Jared Brown, and The Langham’s Head Mixologist Alex Kratena.

The bar menu will celebrate the history of gin and take guests on a journey through time. Each cocktail will represent a different stage in the evolution of this British classic; from 1690 when gin was first born, to the invention of the first G&T in 1793 and finally arriving at the 21st century with the rise of molecular mixology.
