It’s already seen the likes of Paloma Faith, Conor Maynard and model Oliver Cheshire lounge amongst its palms and stripey daybeds. Think Miami Vice meets Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and you’re almost there. Alligator coffee tables, flamingo drink stands, tropical parrots and flashing pink neon give it the over-the-top Florida beachside cum French Riviera look.

This five-month bespoke pop-up, created and produced by Nick Zuppar and his team from The Food Firm, and designed by Hollywood film designer Sonja Klaus, is a wonderful sight to behold. As are its tastes of the eastern Mediterranean, spices, dips, roasted meats and breads. Ceru Restaurant’s Executive Chef Tom Kime was on hand to show the exotic sharing food experience.

Cooling dips are Pancar – roast beetroot, yoghurt, garlic and pistachio (£5), Fadi – fried baby courgette purée with tahini, roast garlic, yoghurt & lemon (£5.50) and Spicy Roast Red Pepper dip with chilli, walnuts & pomegranate molasses, served with freshly baked pita or cucumber batons.

veggie heaven

Ceru’s signature Slow Roast Lamb Shoulder with Shawarma Spices (£8.50) conquers the menu with this deeply tender lamb – crisp on the outside and mouth wateringly delicious within. A dish worth crossing any desert for.

A quick and tasty fix for a lighter, veggie heaven dish is deep fried cauliflower with walnuts, pomegranate (dried cranberries if out of season). There are plenty of veggie dishes and salads including, as you’d expect, falafel and halloumi. Sweet tooths are satisfied with honeycomb ice cream (£4.50) with the flavours of baklava coming from roast nut brittle and burnt honey caramel.
