Yoghurt lovers are in for a delicious 0% fat treat following the launch of three new flavours of Chobani Strained Yoghurt.
The new varieties – Raspberry, Blueberry and Apple Cinnamon – reflect Chobani’s tradition of combining real fruit with thick and creamy strained yoghurt. It takes three litres of milk to make one litre of Chobani, resulting in a thick, creamy texture that has double the protein of regular unstrained yoghurt. Every pot of Chobani is 0% fat, contains no artificial preservatives or sweeteners and is made with only naturally sourced ingredients, suitable for vegetarians and is also certified kosher and gluten-free.
Chobani is a massive success and has become America’s #1 selling yoghurt brand. After launching in 2007 out of a shuttered Kraft plant, the company has $1 billion in annual sales. Chobani launched in the UK in September 2012, and is now available in nine flavours – Blueberry, Raspberry, Apple Cinnamon, Strawberry, Peach, Black Cherry, Blood Orange, Pomegranate and Plain.
Chobani is available in selected Tesco stores across the UK, with a RRP of 89 pence for 170g pot and £2.00 for a 454g pot.
Chobani is a greek word for shepherd and as part of the ‘nothing but good’ philosophy, the company gives 10% of its annual profits to charities worldwide through the Shepherd’s Gift Foundation, the company’s charitable arm.
