Europe’s first ‘Social Ping Pong Club’ – Bounce

Paddles up for  Bouncea unique flagship London venue that promises to deliver a new kind of night out featuring table tennis, cocktails and eclectic beats in a beautifully designed space.

Opening on 29th September 2012 after 2 years in the making, Bounce  will be Europe’s first ‘Social Ping Pong Club’, taking inspiration from the explosion of stylish table tennis social venues stateside and the huge resurgence of interest in the game within the UK.

Bounce The New Home of Ping Pong

As an opening offer there is 50% off food until 3rd October as a little thank you to early players!

Designed by award-winning interior designer Russell Sage (The Zetter Townhouse, The Hospital Club and The Grill Room at the Savoy), Bounce is built on the very same site where the game of table tennis was originally invented by Jaques & Son in 1901. The new £2.5m venue has a timeless, stylish and edgy interior, the venue will offer Londoners the chance to experience the game of table tennis afresh – in a 12,500 square foot central London space just two minutes’ walk from Farringdon and Chancery Lane tube stations.

Bounce  has raised restaurant seating for up to 130 guests overlooking the playing area. The open plan venue offers food, complimented by a 7ft wide open counter wood-burning pizza oven; a 40ft bar laid out in an arc around the playing area and 17 table tennis tables – including an Official 2012 Olympic table.

Food and drinks offering:  main courses and pizzas (from £11), cocktails such as the Gin Lane Spritz (£9)  made with Beefeater 24 gin, Aperol, Kamm & Sons, fresh orange and topped with prosecco, wines and ’boutique’ beers such as Sam Brooks London Porter (£5.50) and Camden Town Pale Ale (£5).

If you want to bounce your balls in private there’s an exclusive hire room featuring three specially commissioned ping pong tables alongside the private cocktail bar and DJ booth.

Bounce  is the idea of entrepreneur and accomplished table tennis player Dov Penzik and Adam Breeden,  the co-founder of All Star Lanes with four sites in London with a fifth site planned for Manchester in 2013. The duo went to Joe Jaques –  grandson of the game’s inventor, John Jaques III who turned the parlour game of Gossima into Ping Pong, to bring the concept to life and which he says ‘My grandfather would heartily approve.”
