The Mobile Shark Soapbox

Btn-enlargeimg

What’s the Ocean Action about?
To teach local United Arab Emirates children and their families about the plight facing sharks as well as the importance of these species in maintaining a healthy ecosystem through a mobile shark kiosk. It will operate at family events, schools, shopping malls and beaches and we’ll hand out fun and imaginative resource packs with key facts on sharks. Children will create realistic models of the Gulf’s IUCN listed sharks, rays and sawfish out of recycled materials.
By informing the public about the plight of these species worldwide and locally, this information campaign will support marine conservation initiatives by local government.

Each vote will make the difference. Voting is open till the 1st of September 2012.
