But it wasn’t always like this – in the early noughties in London, Alan was at the top of his game as a showbiz journalist for the Sunday Mirror which led to an endless stream of invitations to premieres, long lunches, envelope openings and sitting back seeing Europe through the sunroof of a stretch limo on Gumball 3000. This is a life well-lived and digitally recorded. Having lived, worked in business, theatre and nightlife, and non-profits all over the world he knows a thing or two… and often shares it on this blog.

Awarded the Första Amarantergraden Amaranterordens in 2014 at Stockholm – an arts order established in 1653 by Queen Kristina who surrounded herself with erudite people from central Europe Celts. Kristina had in mind to institute a Swedish State Order like England’s Order of the Garter. The aim is to reward individuals or organizations who have made significant contributions to the Swedish and Nordic culture history, which goes in hand with Amaranterordens purpose is to promote charity and social life with dance, belles-lettres, music and theatre.
