Din Tai Fung has launched its latest festive offering, now available to experience at all three London locations. The popular Taiwanese restaurant introduces three limited-edition cocktails, alongside chocolate lava buns, the perfect way to sweeten up your Christmas.
Joining the cocktail list for the month of December are Christmas Morning, Holly Night and Santa’s Courage, best enjoyed in the chic bar area of the newly launched Din Tai Fung Centre Point.
Christmas Morning is a hot drink reminiscent of the classic Hot Toddy, with oolong tea and homemade oolong syrup adding a delicate Asian twist. A creation of Din Tai Fung Selfridges, the drink is served in a teapot in celebration of the traditional tea ceremony that forms such an integral part of both Asian and English cultures. In addition to the earthy flavours, this tasty tea also incorporates Riserva Speciale Rubino Vermouth and Deward’s 8 Illegal Smooth to create a winter warmer that’ll have you saying more tea, vicar?!
For the margarita lovers – our hands shoot up – the new Holly Night cocktail takes its name from its vibrant green colour. This refreshing and sour cocktail has been masterfully developed by Din Tai Fung Covent Garden. Matcha cordial brings an Asian twist to the drink, while cinnamon and orange spray add a sprinkle of Christmas flavouring. The unique flavours are paired with Silver Patrón Tequila, green apple, orgeat syrup and ginger ale, and topped off with a maraschino cherry, creating a very merry margarita.
Father Christmas’ favourite tipple has been reimagined to ooze classic Christmas flavours of orange, chocolate and cinnamon, with the Santa’s Courage cocktail. As Centre Point’s latest creation, the drink is the perfect choice for any Santa to enjoy before he embarks on his long journey, pairing Japanese Suntory Whisky Toki and Cointreau, where you will taste hints of Mozart Dark Chocolate Liqueur and Christmas syrup. This treat is served with a delicate chocolate-coated candied ginger as a finishing touch.
Round off your meal at Din Tai Fung than with a fluffy cocoa treat. It’s a chocolatey twist on its signature egg custard buns, with a molten chocolate filling, the new addition Chocolate Lava Buns are sure to be a chocolate lover’s dream.
Sounds yummy to us.
