‘Hollywood Unseen’ opens at the Getty Images Gallery on Wednesday 10th October. The exhibition contains unseen images from the John Kobal Foundation of stars such as Rita Hayworth, Gary Cooper, Humphrey Bogart, Marilyn Monroe and a young Joan Collins. Showcasing some of the many ways that Hollywood movie studio publicists strived to create the right public image for a star.

The captions on the photos are humourous – Montgomery Clift goes fishing to butch-up, stars with rented pets and props in their cars. All manner of mischief. This exhibition will make you smile.
