London’s The Factory House bar and restaurant is supporting men’s health charity Movember and will donate £1 each time these items are ordered: the 280g Sirloin Steak and
The Rudyard Kipling cocktail – named after the writer renowned for a ‘walrus’ moustache – a combination of cognac, sparkling wine and bitters. There’s also moustache wax and combs in the lavatories for grooming touch-ups and even moustache-shaped biscuits served with hot beverages.
The male front-of-house staff and many of the chefs at The Factory House will be sporting their own moustaches. General manager Andrew Rhodes said: “The Factory House has always found inspiration in the great Victorian age. To Victorians, a hairy upper lip was an essential accessory and moustaches were a mark of a gentlemen. We are looking forward to The Factory House becoming a hub of Movember activity, and encouraging guests and staff alike to take part.”
Registered “Mo Bros” or “Mo Sistas” fundraising for Movember will receive a 10% discount on their food & drink bills throughout the month. Guests to The Factory House are invited to sign up here and join forces in fundraising for prostate and testicular cancer – www.movember.com
