The Future of Nightlife with Absolut #ELECTRIKLONDON

Marshmallow Laser Feast for Absolut

Absolut explores the future of nightlife

If, like me, you enjoy the nightlife then you’ll love Absolut hosting #ElectrikLondon, a hyper sensory, mixed reality exploration into the future of nightlife. You’ll be taken on a 360° journey where physical space is transformed using virtual reality to challenge what you expect from a night out.  And as it’s got premium spirits we are definitely in.

Wrapped in LED projections, the Electrik Room comes to life with  DJ sets by Leon Vynehall, Lone, Space Dimension Controller and Moiré. The LED wall projections will be motion reactive – responding to sound and mood over the night. Another thing we love – virtual reality headsets!

ABSOLUT EXPLORES THE FUTURE OF NIGHTLIFE WITH #ELECTRIKLONDON

#ELECTRIKLONDON

Bringing together electronic music, game changing technology and innovative drinks to see how audiences think, react, engage, and transform during a night out. The future sounds like fun.

#ELECTRIKLONDON

On 19 November 2015 Absolut hosts #ElectrikLondon, a hyper sensory, mixed reality exploration into the future of nightlife, curated alongside design studio Marshmallow Laser Feast and independent record label R&S Records.

#ElectrikLondon is part of Absolut Nights hosted at the Bankside Vaults in Blackfriars, curated by design studio Marshmallow Laser Feast known for kinetic sculpture, film, live performance and virtual reality alongside independent record label R&S Records – whose roster reads like the who’s who of electronic music.

And what’s nightlife without a cocktail? So Absolut’s ambassador and mixologist Rico Dynan will create a series of drinks which act as an introduction to each experience. We are not giving anything away by telling you they are Coffee Tonik, Absolut Mule and the Electrolyte – good for our thighs too, along with the dancing.

#ElectrikLondon is part of a series of events taking place across the globe inspired by the launch of Absolut Electrik, a twin bottle release available in blue and silver, with semi-transparent coating creating see-through reflections. We’re wondering what we’ll see after #ElectrikLondon.

The night was a wow! A huge room with four walls of motion sensitive led lights that could be waved into shapes by the dancers near the wall or by the DJ, whose outline was spectacularly captured in a light sketch on a transparent wall in front of the DJ booth.

Silver-faced reality headsets allowed you to control thousands of pixels into swirling vortex landscapes – think of an airborne journey over the surface of Mars with a billion twinkling lights.

A huge hit for Absolut – can’t wait to see this technology become commercial in clubs and spaces.
