The British sense of humour has been recently voted as the trait we love most about being British. The LAFTAs award those who epitomise our comedy culture and have really stood out over what has been an outstanding year for British comedy.

Almost 20 years after his first TV appearance, Al Murray was crowned Loaded LAFTAs Comedy Legend.

After a tremendous year topped off by winning Celebrity Big Brother, Rylan Clark picked up the award for Funniest Double Act on behalf of himself and Gary Barlow.

Keith Lemon is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to the Loaded LAFTAs, always a multiple nominee, this year he walked away with another two awards. Celebrity Juice won Best Panel Show and Keith Lemon The Movie won Funniest Film.

The most hotly anticipated award was for Funniest TV Personality. The nominees were Angelos, Adam Hills, Rylan Clark, Tim Lovejoy and Paddy McGuinness, with much social media activity and campaigning, this was hard fought battle. The winner was named as Angelos.

Rylan Clark was awarded Best Joke for this corker of a comeback:

Rylan: “I used to be in a Take That Tribute band.”
Gary Barlow: “I hope you weren’t me!”
Rylan: “Naa, I was too skinny to be you!”
