Hong Kong, Asia’s world city, will stage its annual Wine and Dine Festival from 31 October to 3 November (Thursday- Sunday), 2013. This year’s festival will be hosted in a stunning new location, New Central Harbour Front, right in the heart of Hong Kong’s commercial centre and set against the twinkling backdrop of Victoria Harbour.
This year’s festival is expected to attract over 150,000 foodies.
Guests can expect a gourmet extravaganza with an offering of fine wines from around the world pared with international and local culinary creations. This epicurean feast of delights will feature 270 wine and food booths operated from wineries from 18 countries. Festival admission only costs HK$30 per person with ‘Wine Passes’ available for tastings.
Organised by The Hong Kong Tourism Board, the Wine and Dine Festival’s intoxicating combination of fine wines and culinary delights landed this four-day event on the ForbesTraveler.com’s top10 list of international food and wine festivals in its inaugural year.
The Wine and Dine Festival marks the beginning of Hong Kong’s Wine & Dine Month, which runs from 31 October to 31 November. A party atmosphere permeates the streets with the top restaurants and popular landmarks all getting involved. If visitors find themselves hungry for more, other activities include; the ‘Festival of Restaurants’, exclusive hotel offers, food and wine-themed tours and wine classes.
