Look 1: Glamazon
Glamour girls everywhere were delighted to see that Versace had once again taken the 70s domestic goddess as their source of inspiration for Summer 2012.
From patterned kaftans and tribal prints, to gold embellishments and glamorous, sexy hair, this is a big, bold and beautiful look. Louise’s hair was blow-dried and then set with heated rollers. The curls were then brushed out and smoothed with a paddle brush. Louise’s look was complimented by a strong dark brow and smoky brown/gold shading around the eyes. Louise loves this latest trend saying that, “it is a very stunning, grown-up look. Perfect for when you need all-out glamour.”

Look 2: Gatsby Gal
Beading, embellishment and boas are officially hot this Summer as Fitzgerald’s 1920s classic “The Great Gatsby” hits the big screen. Fashion designers have been spearheading the trend with finger waves and flapper-style dresses already spotted shimmying down the catwalks. “This is a modern trend with an old twist. The secret to creating flat waves is to make sure you use a soft hairspray.”
Louise’s make-up follows another big S/S trend – the berry lip. Kim Jacobs said, “Apply the lipstick with the fingers rather than brush to give a really nice stained effect. We kept the eyes quite neutral, with lots of mascara to make them ping.”
A fan of twenties style, Louise commented: “Flapper dressing is a fun, quirky trend that is going to be everywhere this season.”

Look 3: Preppy Parting
Mary Katrantzou and Matthew Williamson known for their colourful prints didn’t disappoint and were loud and proud this S/S. To wear this look, hair and make-up should be kept neutral and natural to avoid clashes.
Louise’s colourful chiffon shirt is perfectly offset with straight simple locks and a preppy side parting. Lips are nude and eyes slightly cat-like with a soft black line applied to the upper eyelids. “Bright patterns are a huge trend this Spring/Summer – you can’t go into any high street shop without seeing lots of beautiful and bold designs,” commented Louise.

Look 4: Modern Twist
Emulating the crisp, clean, fresh-faced looks as seen at Derek Lam and Erdem, Louise’s youthful look is a simple twist on the preppy side parting. “Simply braid, twist and pin,” said hair stylist Billi Currie. “It’s a subtle difference which easily takes a look from day to night.”
Louise said: “I like keeping my hair quite sleek and simple when wearing bold patterns. This style is perfect as it really shows off my hair colour, whilst the twist detail keeps it interesting.”
