Cactus Kitchens, London’s first cookery school led by the nation’s top TV chefs and wine experts, opens on Thursday 24 January.
A place to enjoy a unique selection of intimate foodie experiences and spend quality time cooking, tasting and learning everything there is to know about food and wine from our favourite culinary experts. The new venture is the brainchild of Amanda Ross, the Managing Director of Cactus TV, in partnership with chef Michel Roux Jr, owner of London’s famous 2 Michelin star restaurant Le Gavroche. Michel, son of Albert Roux and part of the famous Roux family dynasty, has played an integral part in the creative and design process of Cactus Kitchens.The cookery school is located on the site of Cactus TV’s new studios in central London, where top TV shows such as Saturday Kitchen are made.
Cactus Kitchens launches with The Michel & Monica Experience. The class will offer a chance for budding cooks to hone their skills under the expert guidance of both Michel Roux Jr and his sous chef at Le Gavroche and Masterchef: The Professionals star Monica Galetti. Michel will top and tail the Experience, which will be hosted by Monica – places are available to book via www.cactuskitchens.co.uk

On Valentines Day, Masters of Wine Susie Barrie & Peter Richards, two of the expert team on Saturday Kitchen are offering a wine-and-food experience with Valentine’s Wines. Couples will have the chance to savour an exclusive and sensual experience featuring partnerships made in heaven: delicious wine tasting and canapés.
