Lightbulb Film Distribution is excited to announce that new comedy, HOLY DAYS, will be coming into UK & Irish cinemas from August 14.

The film is led by a stellar cast featuring screen legends Judy Davis (The Dressmaker, Barton Fink), Miriam Margolyes (Harry Potter, The Age of Innocence), and Jacki Weaver (Animal Kingdom, Silver Linings Playbook).

Brian Collins (played by Elijah Tamati), a 10-year-old Māori boy finds refuge with three delightfully eccentric elderly Catholic nuns at a run-down convent facing shutdown. Brian is grieving the death of his mother and the nuns accompany him to reach her maunga (sacred mountain), Aoraki (Mount Cook), to say his final farewells to her spirit.
A road trip like no other, is a joyful comedy packed with heart, humour, and high-speed hi-jinks. It’s a story about letting go, holding on, and finding home in the most unexpected places.
