Lactofree Joins Forces With Basilico for the UK’s First Lactose-free Pizza

Lactofree PizzaLactofree, the UK’s only lactose-free* dairy range, is putting delicious cheesy pizza back on the menu for those with lactose intolerance. Joining forces with London-based gourmet pizza delivery chain basilico, Lactofree will be launching two of the country’s first lactose-free pizzas – the Pizza Buonissima and a lactose-free twist on the classic Margherita basilico. Available from September until the end of the year, you’ll be able to fall in love with the cheesy pizzas you’ve been longing for.  And because Lactofree is real dairy, just without the lactose, your pizza can be enjoyed by everyone.

Lactofree PizzaMade in basilico’s traditional wood fired pizza ovens, the Pizza Buonissima is dotted with Lactofree’s cheese and soft white cheese. It’s then topped with smoked chicken, roasted sweet red pepper, fresh rocket, cherry tomatoes and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.

Using fresh dough incorporating a unique blend of Italian milled durum wheats, the pizzas are available to order online and over the phone for delivery to homes or offices or pick up from one of its six London outlets. And if you can’t get to a store or don’t live within the delivery radius, don’t despair, you can enjoy the make at home recipe downloadable from the website

You can try the Pizza Buonissima for £10.45 (10 inch), £13.45 (13 inch) or £16.95 (18 inch) and the lactose-free Margherita basilico for £9.00 (10 inch), £10.75 (13 inch) or £14.55 (18 inch).

Lactofree cheeses are available from all main supermarkets at an RRP of £1.78 for hard cheese and RRP £1.38 for soft cheese.  The Lactofree range also includes: whole and semi-skimmed (fresh and UHT); fruit yogurts; handy 20ml UHT portion packs; cream; spreadable; and newly launched ice cream.
