Combining music, food and experience, MODE seeks to introduce new clubbing to west London.
MODE’s minimalist decor features a hanging Spitfire plane and a full size cathedral organ acting as a focal backdrop for the club’s high-tech lighting and effects rig. Concrete and metal showcase a series of one-of-a-kind art works, from street artists such as Obey Giant to Andrew Cross, with unique 3D LED mapping graphics.
Creative Director Robin Collings has created a space for hedonistic escapism.
Thursday night programming to feature live acts and guest comperes, Friday night brings unannounced, famous and underground acts from the worlds of house and techno to play on MODE’s top spec, sound-system and equipment.
Decked out with a custom-built, fully charged VOID Soundsystem (featuring the first VOID Stasys X:air in Europe and the first club in the world to utilise the VOID Tri-motion DJ Monitor system), a DJ booth featuring 4 Pioneer CDJ 2000 decks, 2 Technics 1210 vinyl decks and a DJM 900 Nexus set up and RMX 500 effects unit, the first ‘extreme’ sound-system to be fitted in a London Club.
MODE set for full launch on April 4th 2014, bringing the latest slice of cutting edge club culture to Notting Hill’s current renaissance.
At the launch event the surprise guests for the first MODE undisclosed event were Rudimental while The Plump Djs opened up proceedings.
Rudimental’s DJ Locksmith was one of the first to test out the state of the art VOID sound system – the first of its kind in the world – and experience the DJ booth’s flame throwing church organ installation.
