FOOD: Oloves UK Launch – tasty new olives

We love oloves. Juicy, natural pitted olives in clever packs. Eat from the bag, garnish cocktails, toss them into salads or bake into breads,  which is just what we did at the UK launch of Oloves.

Oloves delicious olives

Oloves founder Matt Hunt was sat at a bar in Spain watching the topping up of the olives on the counter and thought about introducing innovative catering packs of quality olives for use in bars and restaurants. He put some olives in a bag and started selling them.  It’s a cracking idea that has sold over 10 million bags in the US, now shipping to 14 countries from Morocco and just launched in the UK. Matt has a passion for contemporary branding, simple messages and purist designs – you can see that in these cute bags.

There are a few pack sizes and flavours including a new 100g sharing bag with approximately 35 olives in each bag or a mini bag of plain (naked) Oloves at only 89p. Low calorie, zingy bags of olives pack huge amounts of vitamin E, and are gluten, dairy, wheat and nut free and no artificial colours and flavours. And no guilt.

The flavoured packs are basil and garlic, chili and oregano, lemon and rosemary and chili and garlic. We loved them all and enjoyed the kick from the chili and oregano made with a tiny drop of sunflower oil and harissa.

Oloves are available at Ocado, Holland and Barrett, Amazon and Natures Health Box and the Oloves website.

Welcome – we’re sure we’ll be popping a lot more of these beauties.
