The 5th Brazilian Film Festival of London

The Brazilian Film Festival returns, offering a riveting presentation of Brazilian culture off and on-screen, 27th September – 1st October, Odeon Covent Garden.

For the first time, it will also feature Brazilian Taste, where you will be able to experience Brazil inspired dishes at a selection of partnering restaurants across London.

Cabana are offering a sharing board called Road to Rio – a selection of iconic Brazilian tapas including pao de queijo,  crunchy passarinho chicken and rice bolinhos served with a tangy and sweet tamarind ketchup. They are also offering FREE classic caipirinha with the purchase of a skewer or any main dish for guests who present their ticket (pre dinner) or their ticket stub from the Brazilian Film Festival.

The Lockhart London – presenting a Grilled Skirt Steak and Mango Salad: on a bed of rocket with pimenta dressing, topped with toasted pine nuts.

Lima London recognised as one of the 50 best restaurants in the world will be offering the Amazon river fish Arapaima, served with tapioca and palm heart.

Praia at Sushinho present the ‘Kurobuta Pork Roll’ braised pork, pineapple and spring onion, using quinoa instead of rice. The roll is topped with pineapple tapioca pearls & coriander cress.

Quantus Restaurant will offer a rare seared sichuan tuna, nectarine and parsley salad, with fresh maracuja and pink salt.

Ivy’s Mess Hall will present a Brazilian Tiger Prawn moqueca served with plantain and toasted ciabatta.

Canela have the classic Feijoada, a stew of beans with smoked meats, served with farofa, toasted mandioca flour, on the side.

Oui Madame will be serving a rumpsteak and prawn moqueca, with cachaca lobster bisque and coriander, complimented with red rice.

A little of what you fancy will present a Brazilian snack called Coxinha, a deep-fried pear-shaped snack filled with chicken

McQueen Shoreditch is including a classic Brazilian dessert, the passion fruit mousse.

The 2013 program includes 13 feature films and 12 short films all of which are UK premieres.
